Is Osteopathy Right For Me?
If you are unsure whether osteopathic
treatment would be beneficial for you or your family,
one of the osteopaths would be happy to discuss whether
a consultation would be appropriate.
The First Consultation
On your first appointment the osteopath will take
a full case history, this will include your general
health, previous illnesses and current medication.
You will then be examined. This will normally involve
being taken through a range of movements to evaluate
joint function and individual tissues. More specific
clinical tests may also be carried out. After the
examination the osteopath will explain the findings
and, if appropriate start treatment.
Sometimes additional investigations may be required
e.g. blood tests or x-rays and these can be organised.
Consultation is by appointment only
If you cannot attend an appointment we do require 24 hrs notice otherwise a
cancellation fee will be charged.

If you think you may be eligible
to claim for your treatment under your health insurance,
please mention this at the time of booking your first
appointment to ensure you are treated by the appropriately
accredited osteopath.
Osteopathy is now accepted by most
private health insurers and the practice is recognised
by them, including, BUPA, PPP, HSA, WPA and Norwich
Union.
Home visits
Home visits are available for patients who are unable to come to the clinic.
